This course addresses how poor working conditions coupled with high demands, low levels of control and a lack of meaningful support can adversely affect health and wellbeing and, in some cases, reduce the benefits of employment for some people. Managers, therefore, need to know how to create safe working conditions that support and encourage positive mental health while at the same time, being aware of, and understanding, the signs of mental ill health and knowing how to provide the right support.
